N is for Nummamorous which means money-loving.
Yes, it’s a funny word when you realize the importance of money!
The reason I chose to write about it is because it reminded me of a time when I had little or nothing of it.
Firstly, this is not a rags to riches story.
This is a phase where I realized how important it is to earn and maintain a livelihood.
Being Nummamorous is not wrong.
Also wanting to earn more is always good until it exhausts every part of your life.
Firstly being jobless teaches you a lot about the reality of life.
Also once you work hard day in day out and get your first paycheck, that feeling is unmatchable.
Much as I’d like to disagree, most of us have forgotten what it’s like to love the money we have earned.
We want that phone, that dress, that meal in a new restaurant, that trek etc.
While we can do that, we think of the future too much and let go of such moments.
Probably you are right in your way of saving for the future.
But it would really be nice if sometimes you just took that one luxurious moment you always wanted.
You’ve earned it by working hard, don’t let it lie in the account or wait for an EMI to steal it away from you.
Enjoy that moment my friend. You earn only for yourself and the family. Sometimes use it on yourself too!
That’s all for today!

Every one, to a certain extent is nummamorous…whether they accept it or not. Its money, honey…no one can mess up with it.
As rightly mentioned by you, let the money flow to the ventures that earn you happiness and just not waste it lying idle!

Hey Doc, Always glad to be of help! Cheers!
Wow, loved your theme. I am a lifelong learner of language and the words I have found on your blog are totally new to me. I can’t agree more with you on spending on ourselves once in a while. I had a total transition from being someone always focused on saving, investing to utilising the hard earned money on experiences and widening my horizon. Thanks for this lovely post.

Hi Gayatri. Saving is good. But when you spend it on yourself once a while, the happiness is out of bonds. I’m glad you could relate to it. And do stay tuned for more such posts!
Quite an interesting post, liked it !
Hey Narinder, glad you liked it.
That’s a nice word to come across. I guess in today’s world everyone is Nummamorous :D.
Hey Dipanwita, I guess everyone indeed are Nummamorous. Cheers!
I will always have enough money because I know I will have enough money.
I love your word of the day, I’ve never heard of it before. Thanks for sharing.
That’s a good mantra Cheryl. Cheers. Do stay tuned for more cut weird words.
we all are Nummamorous one way or the other!!!
Yes, we indeed are Tina! Cheers!
It’s a great word. However, I don’t so much love money as the things it can be put towards. We’re always working towards the next holiday or fun experience with the kids.
Hey Nick. Yes that’s another way of looking at it. You’re still spending it on the things and people you love.. So a win-win!
