Honey Diet

A balanced healthy diet.
Sounds good but is tough to conquer and even tougher to maintain. People who swore by their diet have had wonders in the results. The rest know what happens when you don’t maintain a diet.
You can ask me that question.
I am of the opinion that a diet is indeed very important. Majority keep more emphasis on the exercise and gym aspects. But in reality that’ll only work when you maintain a proper diet. If you exercise during the day and gorge on food in the evening, it might nullify or worse, might lead to weight increase.
A crash diet is one of the worst options possible. You maintain a diet for a while, let go of oily food, chocolates etc. and in the process lose weight, maybe even your appetite. What you don’t realise is that so many compromises in the diet affects the nutrition. Our body needs a minimum requirement of nutrients. If all of a sudden you don’t provide it to your body, it will have adverse effects.
Also a crash diet might give you the result you crave for in limited time. But it will remain limited only. Once you start eating again, you’ll come back to your original shape even quicker than how you lost it. Thus it’s important to keep track of your diet.
With that, I want to share my experience last year when I started swimming and started maintaining a diet.

30 minutes of exercise in the morning, swimming in the evening was what I did for almost 6 months. But that was not all. I also limited myself to a diet which I believe played a vital role in keeping myself fit.
I am a foodie. I can eat anytime. Junk food is in my blood. Parting ways with it was like me going to a rehab centre. It was tough but yes I did get past that hurdle.
I knew I cannot let go of a lot of food items in my diet, so I played it safe. I ate, but at proper intervals and ate healthy. Here’s an example.
7.30am-8.00am – Exercise
Around 8.45am – Breakfast (with 1 glass of warm water with Dabur Honey)
11am – A fruit (maybe a banana/apple etc.)
1pm – Lunch (2-3 chapatis with vegetables/chicken)
3.30pm – A fruit again
5pm – Tea with a few biscuits
6pm-7pm – Swimming
8.00pm – A fruit again
9.30pm – Dinner (same as lunch)
As you can see, I did make sure to eat something at proper intervals. Also keeping honey in my diet helped. As we all know a glass of honey with warm water in the morning is known for its help in weight management.

Keeping a Honey diet is advisable for starters when all we want to manage is our ever increasing weight.
The times between breakfast –lunch, lunch –tea and tea- dinner are stages where we feel a bit hungry. Here is when our loyalty is tested the most. We end up eating something that we like not realising the impact it can have on our system.
I had seen a huge impact after 3 months of maintaining such a diet. I lost a considerate amount of weight. The confidence in me kept rising up. I had a zing about exercising. No laziness. No health issues. I felt fit as ever.
After 3 months, I did continue my diet, but tweaked it a bit with keeping one day for my sinful delights. I would have a chocolate or gorge on some street food just once a week.
There was not much of an impact there. So it’s tried and tested by me. People around me will tell you how much of a change they saw in me. My mother itself was worried as to why I was losing so much weight.
Jokes apart, keeping a balanced diet is important in today’s time. Or else we youngsters will get ill more frequently and get affected by illness which we must be getting after crossing 45-50 years of age.
So eat healthy, eat at proper intervals, exercise too and yes you will see an impact.
Have a nice day.

Let's #SniffSniff

Well, what do i tell you…

It’s not everyday when you get a parcel with an image as such.

So i put on my thinking cap and after the unboxing got an image of a man who had a wooden cloth clip stuck on his nose. Almost like that moment when you cover your nose from unbearable smell.

And i though to myself, what will the product be? Will it be something that can help us get away from unbearable smell? My thoughts came to a halt as there was a message to help me out.

Indeed cloth clips are for clothes and not for our nose. But then i discovered the main agenda of #sniffsniff. It mentioned a product to get us rid of body odor.

Then i started getting ideas but failed to recognize what could the product be. I needed another set of clues.

Little did i know that this was the start of the game. There came another surprise box. Yes, another set of clues!!

And what did i find inside?

It was a small cute jute bag which had coffee beans inside. The aroma was just mesmerizing. But what could i make out of this message?

Yes, my first guess was that coffee would be the main ingredient. My second guess was that they are using the idea of coffee being so strong that it fights bad odor. So, the product would have a certain ingredient which would combat bad body odor.

Now that i got two sets of clues all that remained was the final unveiling.

But wait, there was a final hint. Yes, i was surprised. Yet again i would have a chance to guess what can the product be.

This game was getting interesting by the day and i was happy to be a part of this mini adventure at home.

Anyways, here was the first of the last set of clues.

Yeah, a face mask. Ouch, how much of an insult would it be if your near and dear ones would have to use this when you come around.

So i could make out that this is a serious issue and we need to get rid of it right away.

Also there was the last hint which kind of made it clear to me what i could expect from the #sniffsniff team.

And finally after so many clues and creating so much buzz, the #sniffsniff team finally launched this;

Yes, the product everyone was looking at was the newly launched “Nivea Men Body Deodrizer”

This #sniffsniff experience gave me lots of happiness and understanding.

Yes, body odor is a serious issue.

Yes, it needs to be solved in the early stages.

Yes, it affects the way people perceive you.

So it’s an appeal to everyone that we #BanBodyOdour.

Retirement Planning

Retirement Planning.
Those 2 glorious words can bring a wide smile on any youngster’s face.
Not for the right reasons obviously.
Majority below the age of 25 do not look at retirement planning in a serious way.

Then comes a ,
v  fully fledged job,
v  marriage,
v  kids,
v  Mortgage,
v  Own House
v  And then by the time we cross 35-40, planning for retirement seems to have been a long lost option.
Why should we wait so long?
It’s a simple funda. You know that 1 rupee a few years back was worth more than what it’s worth today. That’s the same with savings and expenses.

You spend over 20,ooo a month now.
Post 20 years, that same 20,000 will become 3,00,000.
Yes.
That is a huge possibility.
Then what?
Your needs and wants will never diminish.
I mean, why should they?

All you need to do is save a little each month, plan your investments so that post 20 years, spending and being happy will never be an issue.

Otherwise the negative thoughts will come flooding in.
Just imagine, to spend 3,00,00 how much will you have to earn.
Would you expect yourself to earn at the age of 60?
I mean, i imagine myself on a beach house with no worries whatsoever.

The fact i did not give much thought on retirement planning baffled me to the hilt when i met few personnel from Reliance Capital Asset Management team last week with a few bloggers.
The event was led by Mr. Sundeep Sikka – CEO, Mr. Himanshu Vyapak – Deputy CEO Mr. Ajay Jethi – CMO and Mr. Sharad Goel – CCO.
They explained to us the importance of retirement planning in the easiest language possible.
They started the talk with a brief about “Reliance Retirement Fund” which according to them is a #LambiInningsKiTaiyari.
So the “Reliance retirement fund” involves of 2 phases i.e.

Accumulation – The phase when you build retirement assets and
Distribution – The phase when you use retirement assets.

It has a lot of benefits too. Here are some of the features.

They have two schemes i.e. the wealth creation scheme and the income generation scheme. As per your needs and risk taking capability you can decide how much to invest in order to have a solid laid back future.

You can switch between these two schemes as and when you wish.

The exit load is 1% on redemption before the age of 60. (where the lock in period would be of 5 years in the start of the scheme)

There is also a SWP (Systematic withdrawal plan) where you can decide what needs to be withdrawn every month post you crossing the age of 60.
Just imagine, you could get a fixed sum every month which would be enough for your needs. That would be great, right?

There are tax benefits too.

Conclusion:

I have been investing in the market. Savings have been less due to my never ending needs but yes, i did give it a thought about retirement planning earlier.
Post this event, my planning horizons have broadened. Now i know what i would need to save in order to have my dream beach house alongside a tension free life.
If i start now, 3o years down the line, everything will be alright.

My suggestion to anyone below the age of 30 is that if you can even save 3000 rupees a month (1000 for youngsters) and invest, the difference it will make every 10 years will benefit you the most.

So don’t wait till you have kids and a mortgage.
Start today. Start now.

Myntra App

2015 is yet another year filled with advancements in E-commerce..

Now you can not only go online via your desktop but also use the apps which each e-tailer has provided.

E-tail giant Myntra took the next big step and announced they will be available only on mobile. All you now need is the app which can be downloaded easily via the play store for Android and iOS devices.

Myntra

How to get consumers to use the Myntra App:

If I were a part of the Myntra team, my next step would be to attract all the consumers to the app and tell them what’s waiting in store for them.

Yes I know that many have joined the bandwagon, but not all. If we cannot have all consumers on board, that’s a loss which will hurt us in the long run.

Marketing:

Yes, this is the most important action. So I thought of something different and thought to share it with you guys. Here’s my idea.

Myntra is now mobile only and there’s a huge reason for that. It’s because we don’t want you to go through the same process of logging in your pc, waiting for everything to start and then log on to our site. That’s a long process and too slow.

With our app, you can place an order anyplace, anytime and anywhere. Maybe you’re stuck in a boring meeting; maybe it’s some sad function you have to be a part of. Fikar not. Use our app and make yourself happy.

Also with our new feature, buying clothes would never get any easier. We have such filters set where once you put in your details, you’ll get the perfect results.

E.g. If a guy wants to buy a set of formals all he has to do is punch in his shirt and trouser size and he will get an image of how the shirt and trouser would look like.

Also to add some fun to it, you could make an avatar of yourself and then your avatar will be the model for the clothes.

Just imagine. You can actually look at your digital self with the clothes you want to buy.

That’ll help a lot right?

So go on, download the app and be a part of the next gen shopping experience.

This is what I think Myntra can use to garner more audience.

I need your opinions on this too.

What do you think?

Does my idea sound realistic?

If you had the chance, what would be your idea to market Myntra to the consumers?
