Abhi Nahi Toh Kabhi Nahi…

“Clean India” has been the talk of the season since our newly crowned Prime Minister Mr.Narendra Modi started this initiative.
He vowed that by 2019, there would indeed be a “Clean India” but he is one man and the efforts of one man cannot clean the enormous filth of our nation. Thus he asked every Tom, Dick and Harry to come out, clean their homes, their neighborhood for a cleaner India.

Many celebs, corporate honchos and many other known faces came out of their house and did their bit. It may have been done for any reason but the bottom-line is that they did their bit.

What does that make of us now? I know when all of these celebs come out and clean his or her area, all we did was providing expert comments. We judge them for the clothes that they wore while cleaning, for the amount of security around them and lastly for the shutterbugs which constantly clicked and clicked the prized moment of watching stars clean with brooms on roads.

Our reality is very simple. “A” will walk around his/her area and whilst walking will throw an empty packet/plastic bag/spit etc on the pavement even though just 4 steps away there was a garbage bin. “B” will tell “A” he/she shouldn’t have done that. “A” will tell sorry and they both move on. Lekin Bhai, that filth you caused still lies on the road. Sorry bolne se kachra apne aap dustbin mein nahin jaayega!!

I am no saint either. 9 out of 10 times I don’t throw stuff. I keep them either in a bag or search for the nearest dumpster where I can trash it. But once, yes I do what “A” did. I vow to keep getting better. To make it 10 on 10 and not dirty my country.
On a daily basis, I see a lot of people who throw stuff and others who do their bit in not dirtying the area. The former weighs more than the latter.
We need to raise our voices, to fight for what’s right, to make people understand and value the importance of a cleaner environment. Everyone knows how weather is constantly changing when compared to the 80’s and 90’s. Things will keep getting worse if we don’t step up. If not for you, then at least for our next generation we need to keep aside our selfishness and do what’s right.
StrepsilsCampaign – #AbMontuBolega

Strepsils has come out with their campaign on #AbMontuBolega which is aimed at the Power of Voice to not only Clean India but also for the importance we must give to speaking up for what is right. There are many such places like I said that need cleaning. There are also many such situations where you deserve your attention and the authorities need to hear out your opinions. But we can’t just do that so easily. We need to step up, use the power of voice and get past the finishing line i.e. towards a Swachh Bharat.

Let’s do this folks, Kyunki Abhi Nahin…. Toh Kabhi Nahin.
