S is for Schadenfreude – A to Z Challenge

S is for Schadenfreude.

Which means deriving malicious pleasure in other’s misfortunes.

I know it’s wrong to be one of them, but sometimes I am.

It so happens that when I hate someone and I see them suffer, it gives me a weird sense of happiness.

It’s not right and I don’t ever think that way now.

But there was a time when seeing specific people suffer or looking at their misfortune made me feel nice.

It often happens that we feel our life is bad. Who knows, maybe the other person has worse days than you.

Like they say,

“The Grass looks always greener on the other side”

But the real question is,

Do you feel happy when you others have a bad time?

There are 2 ways of seeing this.

1 – You feel good because it did not happen to you.
2 – You feel good because it happened with the other person.
If you agree with point 1, then it’s OK till a certain degree. If its point 2 that you agree with, then buddy, that’s something you need to work on.

Don’t keep such hatred and negativity in your heart. You have just one. Spend it by spreading love to your near and dear ones.

Why keep such feelings inside?

Why give them so much power?

Because they aren’t worth it.
