E is for Elocation.
Removal from someone’s control.
After having 3 words shortlisted, I chose elocation. The other 2 being;
1)Eellogofusciouhipoppokunurious which means “Good” and
2)Effulge which means to shine out.
When I came across this word and its meaning, thoughts automatically kept flowing in my mind. When we say “removal from someone’s control” there can be many explanations. The one I choose to write about is the version where a certain person controls the other.
Yes, you all might have encountered many people as such who don’t do anything on their own. Their thoughts, their actions all are orchestrated by someone else. Yes, kids are exempted here because they are expected to listen to their parents. But I’m talking of us adults. I know some friends of mine who are literally controlled by either their friends or their partners.
So much is the control (elocation) sometimes that they will ask for permission for doing almost anything. This gets annoying. Does that person not have a mind of his own? Put it in this way, they are no better than machines.
The implication thus is that one day all the dominoes will fall. The person will lose it, go haywire and will never ever be in control of anyone. But when this stage shall arrive is the biggest question.
My take on this:
There are only 2 things possible i.e. either you prefer being controlled, or you actually don’t know that you’re being controlled.
Either ways, it’s not good for you. You will surely come across some who will bring it to your notice about this controller. Listen to them. One person can be wrong, two, maybe even 3. But if there are many more informing you that your life is being remote controlled by someone else, listen to them.
Don’t be a machine.
Be yourself.
Do some crazy stuff.
Take responsibility for your actions.
That’s how you’ll learn and prosper.
You are unique.
