O is for Odontalgia and Onychophagist – A to Z Challenge 2016

O is for Odontalgia which means toothache.

This word is dedicated for me.

I’ve been a victim of a terrible toothache which is due to a maxillary sinus infection.

The pain is such that I cannot describe which tooth is hurting when.

I finally realized why my mother since childhood days, always used to tell me to brush my teeth twice. I get it, Mom. You were right, as usual!

Tooth pain is the worst. You just cannot do anything, Helpless, restless, feeling useless is what you go through when your tooth hurts like hell.

Is there any toothache story (Odontalgia) you’d like to share with me?

Odontalgia

O is for Onychophagist which means nail-biter.

This word is dedicated to every person you know that bites nails. Yes, there’s a word for that. We all know of at least one person who has this habit of biting nails which they cannot let go of.

I have even seen in cartoons that when one was biting his nails and he had nothing else to bite, he took his neighbors paws and started biting those nails. Also, I don’t know what fun people get by doing that. Sometimes, I also don’t get to judge them because yours truly was also once a renowned nail biter. Now I’ve let go of that habit and I’m glad.

Do you know of anyone who just keeps nail-biting? Have you ever tried stopping them?
