G is for Gerascophobia

G is for Gerascophobia.

Which signifies the fear of growing old.

Growing old is something that is cherished only by a few and feared by many. The thought itself gives some the chills.

Why so?

Yes, I agree you would be bed ridden someday.

Yes, your life would revolve around the hospital.

Yes, you wouldn’t be able to walk without support.

Yes, you wouldn’t be able to hear, talk and see properly someday.

Yes, you would long for company.

Yes, you wouldn’t be able to do things which you could do when you were young.

Yes, you would wish you could be young again.

Yes, you may regret being old.

But hey, be happy… because growing old is a privilege not received by many.

Have a nice day.
